The good old scarcity marketing. Let's start with the fundamentals here. What is scarcity marketing? Well, basically, what you do is you influence your prospects to take action. Most of the time this is a purchase by telling them that the offer is limited in time or there is a limited quantity that creates a strong sense of urgency in forces people to make a yes or no decision. In other words, prospects cannot procrastinate or give it more thought.

Urgent situations make us act quickly. This is what behavioral psychologists have found out. And I do believe that one of the most effective ways to increase your conversions and again, not just on your sales video, but your marketing in general, is to create a strong sense of urgency. However, we are facing a few problems here. First, you should know quite many, how should they call them scammers or immoral people, whenever they have used this type of marketing in all different forms. For example, someone is selling a PDF report and they say only 30 copies left is that worked in the past, but what these marketers fail to understand is that customers are getting more and more sophisticated.

Another bad example would be telling people that the offer expires in three days. But after that period, you don't really close if you don't close the offer. People will see that and they wouldn't trust you anymore. Good look after that, helping them to open up their wallets to buy products from you. See, this is the right way to do scarcity marketing. We don't need to lie to take advantage of this powerful tool.

Another problem would be using urgency on a weak offer. What do you mean by that? Well, we all know Like getting good deals on whatever purchases we make, right? But here is the thing. scarcity marketing will not compensate for a weak offer. We should draw the line here.

Your offer is the core of your marketing and copywriting and no sales tactic can compensate for it. When you have a weak offer, you tell your prospects only three days left in the answer in their minds. So what not a big deal if I miss it? No, no, no, no, no, we don't want that. We want to create an offer so strong that your prospect would not resist. When you have a strong offer, and you tell your prospects only three days left.

They are in their minds. I would be stupid if I miss this. Now, when we sell digital products, we primarily use time limits. You've seen these timers on all kinds of pages. Here is an example Now, as you can notice, here, I don't use a sales video on that page. It's only text, but there is a reason for it.

I send the sales page to the people who have registered for the webinar, but didn't buy there on the spot. So they've already seen my picture. Now what I do, what I want to do is I want to hit them with another medium, same message, but in writing. Anyhow, I want to point your attention to the timer here. This is not a fake timer. You know, if you refresh the page, it will not restart or something like that.

No, this is a real hammer. However, it's evergreen, meaning each person going through the funnel would experience the same urgency or time limit. So very shortly, here is how it works. People watch my webinar, and if they don't buy, but CD offer, they get in an email sequence where I send them emails, To this end some other pages, once they enter the email automation, they trigger the timer and it starts counting. Once the timer reaches zero, the potential customers will no longer be able to buy the problem. Instead, they will be redirected to this page.

Sorry, you missed the offer. If they come back after a few hours or days or whatever, they will not be able to buy the course. Of course, you can always add a form on the missed offer page. So prospects could opt in again to receive notifications if the program will be open for enrollment soon, but that's another story. In the past, I used custom made timers, but now I found a better way, an easier way. That's not a monthly subscription such as deadline funnels.

I don't like monthly subscriptions. I'm talking about the WordPress plugin. It's called thrive ultimatum and it's $100 one time, but it is an incredibly good investment. Alright, I believe now you understand how important scarcity marketing is. To recap, number one, urgent situations make us act quickly. Number two prospects are getting more and more sophisticated.
