Hey, what is up guys, welcome back to a brand new lesson in which we're going to show you how to set up the loudness of your video or your audio, of course. So right here, I first want to discuss about some things we would actually understand what we're going to do and you would know what to do when the different audio standards hit you up. So, of course, there's a standard out there about audios, of course, there's nothing that you need to like follow, in which case your audio shouldn't be working. There's actually something that of course, a couple of dudes who were making the web standards for audio written on the white paper nothing special. So basically, there's a standard called LD UFC, which stands for loudness units full scale, and that's something that actually you should follow in order to get a normal audio so So what I mean by that, for example, there are different standards when it comes to films when it comes to commercials when it comes to simple YouTube videos and stuff like that.

So for example, in films and those higher standard thingies, the standard is about minus 20 for UFC or l KFC. And for our normal videos, which we are trying to create right now, it's minus 16. And I'm going to show you how to adjust that in order for your audio to be sounding way better. And something that I also wanted to mention is and this person was first going to do is measure our loudness over video and then adjusted to the desired well, so right now we're going to do is you're gonna first start right here and search for a loudness radar. In case you're working with window right here and audio. What you need to do is go to the audio track which is called master Pick, all the things are up there next.

So, once we added the loudness radar to your video, we're going to open it up by clicking the Edit button and right here, we first want to go to the settings options right here. As you can see the target loudness, we need to switch this up to minus 16. And right here, you can switch up from our KFC KFC, but it's pretty much the same thing, no reason to worry about that. So once we go all the way up to minus 16 is where we want our audio to pick. So underneath rate of speed is one minute. That's all we need.

Unless you're working with something crazy long with different audio standards, different audio rates and stuff like that. This is something that should fit us the best one minutes. And right here is our radar which is going to detect the loudness of a raider before we actually get into this or remember something that I wanted to mention to you guys. It's If you're preparing a video for YouTube, and you're trying to adjust the audio, don't bother about that really much because YouTube has its own standard about it. And in case you didn't know, if your audio is really, really low, you will boost it up, get it really back up. And if your audio is way, way hard and peaking really high YouTube's standards, well, basically, their algorithm will bring it down to their desired bill.

In case you don't believe You're busted. But you should, you should go to any YouTube video, right click exactly on the video and click stats for nerds. Right there. If you're a nerd, you're going to be watching this you're Of course you're a nerd. And I'm just kidding. Just go right there.

Click on stats for nerds, and you will see the adjustments of the volume. And right now what we're going to do is detect the loudness of our audio right here. We're going to do that by just playing the clip and it's going to the Hey, what is up guys, Ennis here from reverse cast and today I gotta bring you tutorial for you. So this is something that I wanted to do for a while I just didn't have time to write down, I got the great footage for it. And I'm going to show you this amazing trick which will give you like the smoothest scenes which are or let's call it the same cut in in the world like this is literally the best view you can get when it comes to switching scenes. And as you can see, we set it up at a minute, but we didn't even pull out for a minute.

So this shouldn't be enough 20 seconds, as you can see, decibels that we're hitting our minus 15. And this is like an amplitude isn't the ups and downs ups and downs and it's basically measuring our audio and right now what are we going to do to actually adjust it because this effect can't really adjust any of the sound which is detecting the loudness. We have minus 15 but as you remember, we wanted to hit Minus 16. How are we going to do that? Let me show it to you guys. Just exit this for now and go to the effects tab right here and search up hard limiter.

Right here. This is the effect that we're going to use to adjust our audio, join it onto your audio right here, click Edit. And we have a couple of options right here. I'm actually gonna start from the bottom because these are the more simple one to explain. So looking at time and release time are basically the options that if some of you are gamers are going to understand better basically ns, which stands for, you know, in game, Ms bank, whatever. So basically, this is the time that the effect is going to attack the audio.

Yes, we're attacking it. So basically, we have seven, it should be fine. You can even lower it up to one which is going to attack it right away. And the release, you should keep it at 100 because in case you have a slight drop down on your audio, it shouldn't Go straight up to the audio and mess it up is going to gradually release it. So once we got that out of the way, we're going to explain this to upfront right here. So in case to keep this out of mistakes, you should keep it at minus 0.6, which is going to keep your audio really, really flat, you know, in case there are some other piece is just going to keep your audio well.

So the maximum amplitude is going to keep the audio right here. And when it comes to the input boost, basically, it's just simple math. If we have minus 15, and I work to average minus 16. What I'm going to do is I'm going to add minus one, and that is it. In case you're having, let's say, minus 18.3. Let's say like that, what are you going to do to achieve minus 16?

Well basically just add 2.3, again, to add to the 18.3, and it's going to average a month. 16 I know talk fast, but it's just simple math. I hope you understood in case you didn't roll back on this video, check it out again. So I have minus 15. I'm going to add minus one to it, that's going to be minus 16. And this maximum emptor is going to help out is there any disorders and right I'm just going to head out of the back and click Edit right here.

As you can see, this is saved in case you want to reroll this, just click this thing right here which is going to get it back to start. But here's the thing that Premiere Pro does sometimes that this thing can bug out sometimes and is going to not detect this effect at all. So what I do is delete this file the radar search again a loudness radar and drop it onto my audio and edit right that if you're working in the audio window, please get all these on the master track. And right now you should be thanking me for This because I had a hard time finding out about this. It was really hard, you know, thinking my heart limiter was messing up, I almost cried. And right now I got it the right way.

So let's play our audio once again to see if it's gonna pick at minus 16. Hey, what is up guys, Ennis here from reverse cast and today I got to bring you tutorial for you. So this is something that I wanted to do for a while I just didn't have time to write down I got great footage for it. And I'm going to show you this amazing trick which will give you like the smoothest scenes which, or let's call it the scene cut. And in the world like this is literally the best view you can get when it comes to switching scenes. As you can see, it's taking yet a minus 16 which is our standard that we're going get.

I hope you understood this. I don't just want to slap on these effects. I wanted to explain to you from scratch. What are valuate FC, FC FC. But what are the standards we can do if you're shooting a video for YouTube or other platforms? How are these going to affect your audio, which you should do to adjust in a certain way, and I hope you understood all of these.

Thank you for having me here guys. I hope enjoyed and Emmas here in our next lesson
