Joy laughs welcome back. I'm Tanya, and I'm so glad you're staying with me learning the one day one month freezer meal method, you have learned so much, but don't skip ahead. I've worked hard to plan these lessons so that you would learn to avoid mistakes that cost you time and cost you money. mistakes that I wish someone had explained to me so many years ago. You have your recipes, but it's not time to make them yet. Follow along as we make the eight chicken recipes and one side dish.

Let's make our chicken shopping list together. In our ground beef recipes, a pound was a pound was the pound. You'll notice though in our chicken recipes, Everyone's different, some measured by the number of chicken breast, some measured by the weight of the chicken breast and some measured by how many cups of chicken breast. So how many do we prepare? How much do we prepare? Here's a typical bad a boneless skinless chicken breast and what a variety what a difference.

So we just can't worry about it. We're just going to estimate so especially when we're doing our one day one month free meal method, you're cooking up a lot of chicken at once, and so there is some wiggle room. So our policy is one cup of chicken Dyson or strategy is the same as one chicken breast. So it's the rescue He says one cup of chicken diced or threatened, we're doing one chicken breast. If it says one pound of chicken, we're doing two chicken breasts. That's what we're going to do.

Now. How do you cook up so much chicken? We need a lot of chicken. I'm going to show you how to poach chicken in a later lesson. Right, we'll just work our way through our recipes for Turkey potpie. We're doing chicken in bulk.

So I'm going to make that chicken pot pie. One cup cubed cooked Turkey. One cup, we're just calling one breast. So where's our chicken? There we go. So that'll be one breast.

One can potatoes. They always come in 15 ounces. So I'm just going to call it one can. One can mixed vegetables. And that can come in different sizes. So I'll go ahead and say 15 ounces.

Turkey gravy. Put that here. 15 ounces and two pie crust, not 11 pie crust, but two pie crust. Oh goodness. So this one we're going to use a pie pan. Our Turkey is our turkey and stuffing pie.

Again, we're using chicken to buy in bulk and it's gonna be in a pie pan. Butter Chicken Broth I'm gonna change that to eight ounces instead of one cup, one a big four cups stuffing mix four ounces mushrooms. It doesn't come in four ounces anymore. It comes in seven ounces. So I'll put four but know that I get seven. And we can just put extra mushrooms in our turkey and stuffing pie.

Half cup chopped onions, that would be one half of an onion. Butter, tablespoon flour, three cups of Turkey. So we're using chicken breasts with Three cups of chicken breast of chicken is three chicken breasts one cup frozen peas so frozen foods, veggies peas parsley w sauce I know I have that so I don't need to put that down time now but no w sauce anyway. Oh another jar gravy and American cheese you know you can do this if you want but I never do it just American cheese so I don't put cheese on my turkey stuffing pie. Chicken tamale casserole serves 12 And it goes in on nine by 13. So I'm going to put this into pans because my pan is not a nine by 13.

It's half the size. Now if you do a nine by 13 because your family's bigger you would put one pan. Mexican cheese, four ounces of milk. I'll just use one egg. Not afraid of eggs, Kuhlman. Pepper always have creamed corn.

Cornbread mix chopped green chilies red enchilada sauce, two cups of shredded cooks chicken is how many chicken breasts, two cups is two chicken breasts, half cups sour cream, eight servings. And we are going to make it in a what kind of eight inch square so I will be one pan elbow macaroni one pound, two slices of bacon, not 11 two slices one pound chicken breast. One pound is how many chicken breasts. Two. Very good. Butter.

Spoon. Flour always have three cups of milk. Cream of my show. Italian cheese blend. Wonder what that is? One cup onion powder, garlic powder.

Salt already have jack cheese Monterey check one cup and dill. We had Dale before. I think I'll put it again just to make sure. next recipe chicken casserole. My daughter's favorite chicken casserole she used to call it 16 servings nine by 13 so that means I'm going to do it in two pounds. Three pounds.

Oh it gives you the answer six. Wow lots of chicken 123456 egg noodles 12 ounces, eight ounces cream cheese one cream machine to more cans. One onion garlic powder when you know I have salts I have a Saltine we have crackers again. One cup and butter more butter. Okay, this is four servings and they're individual chicken things so it's going to be in a baggie. five ounces fresh finish.

I think I have to buy just a bunch. I don't think I can buy just five ounces fetta Two ounces. pine nuts. Nuts, pine. Two tablespoons. That's not very much time I think we have time already.

Lemon juice. Garlic. Now I don't buy cloves of garlic because then you have to peel them and chop them up. I buy a jar of garlic for chicken breast, okay they say halves because it used to be you could buy both breasts connected together. But no one does that anymore. They're always in half.

So for chicken breasts 1234 salt, pepper, olive oil, chicken broth. Oh, eight ounces. Was it chicken? I'm guessing it was half cup is four ounces, four servings and we fully is a soup so it's going to be in a baggie. wreck and now I have come in already chili powder, garlic Oh a pre chopped onion and salary mix. You can do this if you want, but I'm going to just do half of an onion and I'm half cup salary.

I really can't find this at my store that says salary. So my opinion I'm gonna do half an onion. And probably just one stick of celery is probably good enough tomatoes I cannot find either so I just use a can of dude Mexican. And they're like 14.5 Mexicans do tomatoes, chicken broth. So a can is 14 so 14 and 14 harmony. You may need to hunt for this or ask for help to find that.

But it's good and it's worth it. Two cups of chicken is to breast we know that by now lime juice. We have lemon juice, we need lime. It makes a difference but it's not that important of a difference. Avocado Okay, just do this if they're a good price, because otherwise, avocados are so expensive. And if you have a tree in your yard, send some avocados my way.

I'd be so happy. radishes so radishes come in a bunch. So just a bunch. As lotro you need to buy fresh, it does not free so I'm not gonna buy this lunch from now. Okay. Chicken biscuits, cream of mushroom.

Lots of cream of mushroom this time ham. I'm not going to do the ham. You could do the ham if you wanted to. I don't want to two cups of chicken. Lots of chicken. That's two breast frozen peas and onions.

So I'll do I have one cup here. 12 ounces. So we'll say another cup. And then I'll do one half of an onion. frozen corn salary half cut, that would just be one salary rim. refrigerator biscuits.

You can buy these refrigerator biscuits, but my cousin makes the best biscuits and you can freeze them so I'm going to show you how to do that instead. My cousin's name is Heidi. Oh the chicken and biscuits. Oh my. This is like a soup. So it's gonna go in a baggie.

Okay, we need flour, baking powder. And soda, not Diet Coke baking soda, sugar, salt shortenings. So, half cup Crisco, buttermilk, three fourth cup and these are going to be frozen and then placed in a baggie and if we're making biscuits we're going to do some herb butter paths and these will be in a quart sized baggie. Just for fun. Butter we already have our deal. Now, look, look at all this chicken that we need.

So you need to go to someplace like Costco, or smart and final or Sam's Club and buy a big ol bag of duck chicken. And they never tell you how many breasts are in them, you just kind of have to feel an estimate. And if it's not exact, it really doesn't matter. It's okay. Because we're going to cook all this together and then dice it and then just distribute it from there. And I'll show you how to do that easily.

In our next lesson, look at the butter Also, you can add that up and buy a buy it in bulk. What else do we have a lot of mushroom cream of mushroom soup. Five. Maybe you can find that in bulk at a big box store too. Okay, looks good. For your homework, I want you to look at your 10 recipes, modify all the chicken measurements so that they're the same either by writing it on the paper Or by changing in your recipe software.
