Alright, so I want to break down the user interface or the UI design of Canva. And here we are kind of basically logged in, it'll always send you to this when you type in canva.com. And you're logged in. So, again, you can go through here, edit your information, your account settings, or your personal profile. This is, of course, logged under my lovely wife, Sasha Miller, she does a lot of great designs for me, and she does a lot of the branding. And then I'll actually have other people log in this as well.

So again, you don't need an enterprise account, really, you can just have one if you have a small bootstrap type company, you know, 10 or less people. So I like to share the account. And it's as simple as that. If you end up getting an enterprise account, then that's going to be for this tab right here shared with you. And the shared with you is just going to be basically other people, usually between your own integral parts of your staff that does the copy or I'm sorry, the graphic design They're going to share different images with each other so that way they can stay on track with the branding or whatever they're doing or working on. But most the time working from one account is what I do.

Like I said, if I have just a few people who use it, all of your designs are basically as it sounds, where you can find everything that you've created. Literally, throughout the entire history, you can see we've made quite a bit and it goes on and on. It's an infinite scroll, which means it will keep going on self loading. As you scroll further down. inside of this, you can get to choose all the different types of designs that you can work within. So again, this is a great thing to often post for, or even reach out on YouTube for different people who are making videos, you can actually do custom thumbnails for them and they usually pay anywhere from 20 to $25 for a single thumbnail son form and when I get to show you kind of how these templates that you can use and you have 8000 for free and basically I think 20 or 20 5000 if you are using a paid plan, it ends up just being amazing.

It's just point click, enter the information. And that's it. It's done. So you can make YouTube thumbnails, here's Facebook post for people who like to do Facebook advertising. I'll This is a huge hot selling thing right now, where you just say, Hey, I will make a, you know, high converting Facebook post for 10 or $20 people will pay just like that. You have what's known as a force and these are basically brochures, blog graphics, kind of like an infographic, but the infographics a little bit slimmer, longer, more like a skyscraper.

And then you have again, Facebook ads, which is the larger posts that end up showing in the feed. These are the Facebook posts that show in the side. You know, you can basically make two of these and just copy over the designs like that. And you can offer a two for one for $10 people love and eat that up. I mean, you get basically Dozens of orders like that a day, inside of autumn. As you see right here, this is what's known as a blog title.

It doesn't always fit every blog. That's kind of the weird thing about it. So you kind of got to work with people. But that's kind of the standard typical blog that uses two thirds of the space or two thirds of your window. And then the other thirds usually for widgets, or, you know, ads or searching through the website or previous posts, you'll see that kind of often in newspaper type websites, you can make a logo block which is pretty easy to do, you can actually make logos inside of here. And the best part is I'm going to show you also how to add in other designs.

So you can just basically copy and paste and use things here and there and you know, mix and match and make a completely 100% original design for someone. And then what you end up having here is what's known as email headers. These are not the best Selling but, you know, if you're a graphic designer just offering these as a separate, you know, offer or a listing or a gig wherever platform you're choosing, will get you some sales. But like I said, these social medias are probably the hot ticket and probably will always be. You also have posters, those are a little bit larger people that may hire you for that you can end up charging anywhere from 20 to $50. easily.

That's that's these are all low end bottom lowball quotes basically, then you can click inside of more. And there is a large selection of different things that you can actually look through here. I'm not going to go through every one because let me tell you, there's just quite a large selection. But they all have to do with different portions like it says, social media documents, blogging, ebooks, marketing materials, here's all the social media ones can have events. ads are a huge one that sells very well. So those are the kinds of main ones that you'd focus on ads.

Ads, social media, maybe a marketing material that's about it, and social media posts. So after that, you can end up creating a team, that's the third button that you'll see there. And that, again, is just adding different people to your, your team. And again, that'll add an extra $9 per month depending on whatever the price of Canva is, it's been raised up. Back when we bought it, we were grandfathered in at basically $5 a month. And then you have 1295 if you're just paying monthly, so that's if you want a team or you know, you can have two people at once and then they can correlate with each other and work together.

Then you also have what's known as your brand and your brand is pretty nice. I like this tab a lot. The reason being is you can actually keep multiple color schemes for different types of websites or designs that you have and each of these is all this contains all of my branding colors. So as you can see, I like to have a lot of blues, lighter colors, some orange, some reds, and that's about it, I'll have white and black kind of for contrast, of course, that's pretty typical. But not everyone has pure black fonts, you know, some have a lighter gray. And that's something that you want to keep consistent through everything.

Consistency is key inside of marketing online. So again, you can sell people on just being able to come to always come to you and say, you know, I have all your brand colors, I have everything I can just boom, I'm the guy who knows what your brand is. So that's why you can actually get contracts where people will pay you for years and you know, work with your even, you know, certain chunks of time. Like, I want you to be my graphic designer until this website's done. So come down here and you'll see that you also have logos that you can actually add as well. These are all different things that you want to keep again, for the clients or yourself.

You can add them all together. These different color palettes, you can just tag them different app, tag them out like that. And it changes it's how simple and easy it is. Now finding templates is basically the idea of once you've clicked on whatever you want to design via a Facebook ad post or a YouTube thumbnail, they're going to have a selection of different templates for you to choose from. We'll dive into that once we get into the editing portion of the lecture. But for right now, all you need to really realize is that this is kind of your platter of selection for all of the graphical designs you can do.

But again, I always believe in the 8020 rule, which is you should always focus on the 20% that makes you 80% of your money, not the 80% that makes you all of the extra side income. So after that, you're going to end up having different folders here. As you can see, you're only gonna have two folders if you get a free one, those folders are going to basically be your clients and then you personally because I suggest you use this for yourself as well, your branding, that's kind of the portion of having graphic design within your skill set. And with Canva it can be very simple. You don't even need to have really skills to be a graphic designer nowadays. So all of these I believe she empty those out.

Yep, she did ahead of time, but you just add another folder in like this, you can add a test folder. Then once you get here, you can click over delete the folder, you can share the folder if you'd like over there, as you saw, I'll click on another there you can share that folder send it to anyone could either be a team member or a I think only as a team member. I apologize within the Create your team. You add them in there via their email and then from there, they're always referred to as team members throughout the rest of Canva. So, outside of that, that's basically the user interface right there. Once you get into creating a design, again, you're just going to choose the type of posts that you want to create, right?

Do you want to create a book cover? Do you want to create a Instagram post or a Twitter post, whatever it is, once you click on that, then of course, a whole selection will open up just like this. And in the next lecture, we're going to be working through different designs and even some tips on how to create the best social media graphics for yourself and your clients. That way you can make sure that you have your own accomplished style. And that's really what draws people to you, in the end is being able to show off a little portfolio, some of your own designs, and from there people get an idea of what to expect
