Okay, so the first thing we have to know in Chinese now is, wait. And wait doesn't actually mean anything. It's quite a useless thing. If you think of it. It's just the sound. But if here's my phone, it's just the sound that we make whenever we pick up the phone and go way, way.

And there's a Chinese person demonstrating that as well. Wait, wait, oh, wait, wait. Oh, yeah, I'm Johan. Johan. Johan. See, see what she did that she said way, way.

So it doesn't actually mean Hi there on Top of the morning to you or anything like that. It just basically means Hello, hello, hello, is there anyone there replaces all of those sounds. And it's just simply way and the reason why you learning this now is because it's just so useful because you'll hear it all the time. So next time you see a Chinese person you trying to get in contact with him you go way way, and it doesn't only work on the phone, it works in reality to shout way to them, and see if they turn around. Now there's just one more thing that I want to tell you and that's that we don't really focus on characters in this course. So However Chinese characters are so interesting and intriguing that we just have to show it to you.

However in those other cases like like this one, it just doesn't really seem worth it to go through the character as well. So we're just going to go through the pinion and opinion is simply the sound but written up with the Latin alphabet so way would look something like this. And that's the character by the way, and you can see the translation haha
