Lesson number five. So what's your excuse? I've heard every excuse in the book. Heck, I've used most of them myself. I don't have the money to get started. I'm just too busy.

I'm not smart enough. I'm too smart for this. It's a scam. I hate sales. And I don't care what you say, Scott, this is sales. The product is too expensive.

The product isn't expensive enough for me to make any money. The product isn't any good. You don't have enough products, you have too many products. My spouse, son, daughter, brother, sister, or somebody will kill me if I do another network marketing business. I don't have any friends that will do this thing. The company hasn't been around long enough.

The company has been around too long. I tried network marketing before and it doesn't work for me. There are a lot more but you get the idea. So how would I do if you've ever been exposed to a network marketing business before the one you're in right now? You've probably thought about At least one or two of these excuses, heck, you may have used them before you decided to get involved with the business you're in now, I'm going to use my life experience to illustrate how to change your thinking, which could, which will if you'll allow it to change your life. Let's turn your excuses into your reasons.

And when you learn this lesson, you will be able to use this information. When you hear these excuses from somebody else. I didn't have the money to get started. I use that one a whole bunch of times. Let's turn that excuse into a reason to really say yes to a better life. You see, I've been doing the same thing for about 20 years.

I would get up go to work, do my job, get paid. But here I was unemployed broke. About to lose my house facing bankruptcy and applying for food stamps. Obviously what I was doing for almost 20 years wasn't working for me at all. What did I really have to lose? And more importantly, what did I have to gain?

If my network marketing business worked, I could keep my house, I could have money to take my kids on awesome vacations. We could spend more time together as a family than any other family I had ever known. And that's exactly what happened. When I had a job. My excuse was always that I didn't have enough time. And that kept me in that same spot.

Forever. I never had enough time. I wanted to spend more time with my family and a network marketing business would have taken me away from my family. That was my excuse. Here's the uncomfortable truth. Unless I made some changes in my life.

I would never have been able to spend more time with my family. Because I was always working, trying to make ends meet. My family was the single most important thing in my life. They deserve better than what I've been giving them. I knew it. I'm sure they knew it.

I want to give you hope, by sharing the truth with you. Failure gives you the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently, to be better this time than last time, or the best thing you could do is learn from my mistakes and other people's mistakes. You don't have to make the same silly mistakes I made over and over and over again. This is very important. You cannot make more time, but you can make the most of the time that you have. You see, I'm still the guy who tried to do things the way I was taught, go to school, get good grades, get a good job.

I had a full time job two part time jobs at one time, that still wasn't enough. Now think about that. This time when I started my network marketing business, I would have to sacrifice some time with my family up front so I could become successful. But the good news is eventually I had more time with my family than any father I have ever known. I was home so much. This is one of my favorite stories.

My 10 year old son said to me, Dad, don't you have to go to work? My friends, dads are never home and you're home all the time. Think about that. My 10 year old son could not comprehend that when he went to his friends houses, their dads were never home. My excuse I don't have the time became my reason for becoming more successful than I had ever imagine. My excuse I don't have the money became my reason.

Because eventually I realized I would never have enough money to do what I wanted to do with my family. Something had to change and perhaps that's exactly where you are right now. You know, you need to make a change, but you can't. This is really important. I was in the pool yesterday. Okay.

It was at 16 degrees outside, but for some crazy reason, I guess because it was cloudy. I don't know maybe because it's been cooler than that lately, the pool was really cold. There was nobody else in the pool. So I dipped my toe in the water. Let me tell you something, if you dip your toe in the water in network marketing, let me tell you what's gonna happen. It's cold.

You cannot dip your toe in the water. You gotta jump in. And when you jump in, you become acquainted accustomed, you get used to the fact that it is what it is. And eventually, yesterday, I stayed in the pool for about an hour. It was awesome. Nobody else was in the pool because it was too cold for them.

You could be surrounded by people who aren't in network marketing because it's too cold for them. Jump in. Quit making excuses and jump in. It's always going to be cold. You're always going to be told no, over and over and over again before you get a yes or at least that's usually the way it works. You don't usually get a yes.

The first time you talk to somebody, I wanted a better life for my family so bad that it hurt inside. When I thought about all the things I wasn't able to do for them. I needed to when perhaps right now that's where you are in your network marketing career. What's your excuse? Make it your reason? Well, I tried network marketing before and it doesn't work.

Well, let me ask you a question. If everything stays the way it is right now, is that good enough for you? If 10 people in a row tell you no, if 50 people in a row tell you no. But one person says yes. And let me tell you, this is what I found in this industry. Most of us that are making $100,000 a year or more, have only found two or three people that said yes, that really went to work now took a lot more people to find those two or three that said yes, that would go to work.

You might have to find 50 people to say yes, you might have Find 100. But when you find two or three people that say yes, and they want it the way you want it, you can absolutely change your life forever. That's the thing I want you to understand right now you need to know that the numbers say that you're going to talk to people and they're just not going to get it. That's okay. They've got excuses. I know right now, there's no way you're satisfied with your life.

You want to know how I know because this is lesson number five. And if you didn't really want to succeed, you wouldn't have made it this far. You would have quit watching or you never even would have said I'm gonna watch lesson number one. If you were satisfied with your life right now, you would never have gotten this far. If your excuses I tried network marketing before and it doesn't work, then you are just like me. Everything I have done making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

You can do. I know you can. But you need to believe in yourself. You want to but it's hard. I get that You need to believe in network marketing you want to, but it's hard. I get that too.

There's a lot more about belief in a few other lessons, a few lessons from now. And I'm promise you, you really need to watch every one of this every one of those lessons. No, this just assures you've ever known anything in your life. If I can succeed in this industry in network marketing, you can succeed in network marketing. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th US president, always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing. Your own resolution to succeed is more important than five or 10 people telling you know, your own resolution to succeed is more important than dipping your toe in the water and find out it's cold.

I've already told you. It's cold, it's always cold when you put your toe in the water, jump in. Now you may have failed and five or 10 or even 20 or more Network Marketing businesses. So what, it doesn't matter, none of that matters. If you're persistent enough about working toward what you want, whether it's more time with your family more money, desire to help others, whatever it is, you will succeed. The more excuses you have, the more reasons you have to become successful.

In fact, I hope you have a lot of excuses why you can't do it. I'm too smart to do this. When you have a job. What happens when you can't work? You don't get paid? Is that smart?

What happens when you don't want to work? You don't get paid. Is that smart? Smart doesn't pay the bills or give you time freedom. It never has and it never will. And I'm not knocking jobs.

I really want you to understand this. Keep your job. Start your business part time. When you build a team of people and you get paid based on what they do. In addition to what you do. You can have total freedom.

And I promise you, as good as you think that is, it's 100 or 1000 times better than what you think it is. I promise you having experienced it for years. When you build a team, what happens when you can't work? You still get paid. That's cool. When you build a team, what happens when you just don't want to work in there?

You still get paid. You see profits are better than wages. When you own a business, you receive the profits from that business, even when you aren't personally working. When you have a job and for whatever reason you don't work. There are no wages. I learned how valuable prophets are one Sunday afternoon, when my mother frantically called me and told me that my father was in the emergency room.

Dad was going to be transferred to the Mayo Clinic because they didn't know what was wrong with him. He wasn't doing well at all. My mom was scared and alone, but my mom I was not alone for long. And if this gets me emotional To this day, even though it happened a long time ago, I hope you can understand. I was able to tell my mom Not to worry, I would be on my way, within minutes of hanging up the phone. And I promised my mother I would be by her side for as long as it took dad to recover.

I told her that she did not need to worry about money or anything else, because I would be there for her and my father, until she told me she didn't need me anymore. I have two brothers who wanted to be there for my mom and dad, but they couldn't. I was the only one who would be there for my parents during the entire recovery process because my network marketing business was paying me even when I did nothing at the time, hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. My dad was in the hospital for weeks. Mom was worried she was scared, but she didn't have to worry about money at all. Because my business would take care of that for us.

She didn't have to worry about feeling alone, either. Because I was there. Months later, months later, I would go home because mom and dad no longer needed me to be with them every minute of every day. But when they needed me, I was there. Wow. That's one of the reasons why this is such a great industry such a great profession.

And I wish that I would have known that something like that would happen in my life. The many times I tried and failed, you cannot make more time. But you can make the most of the time you have asked yourself Has there ever been a time when you wanted to be with a family member or a friend but you just couldn't? Because you had to go to work? Has there ever been a time when you wanted to do something but you couldn't because of your job? And again, this is not an attempt to guilt you into anything or saying anything bad about jobs.

I was thankful when I had a job that I add one. Do a serious analysis Cisco have your thoughts? How does it make you feel when you want to spend time with your family, but you can't, time or the lack of time is one of the biggest reasons most people should consider network marketing. And if you just listen, when you're talking with your friends, many times, they'll tell you why they should be in this industry. And then you could simply say, you know, Bob, the other day when you were telling me how you really wanted to spend time with blank or you wanted to do this, but you couldn't, you know, I found a solution for that. And it's really simple.

Listen to what other people have to say. They are telling you how you should approach them, but you just have to listen to them. When people complain about having a rickety old car with 150,000 miles that can't get from point A to point B without breaking down or needing more oil or antifreeze. They're telling you that they need need more money? Now? I don't know if they want it, but they're telling you they need it is time right now really your excuse?

And not your reason? No. If it's your excuse, it is your reason. Time is the reason you should be doing this business. What should you really be doing with your time? What do you really want to do with your time?

You know, I'll never forget when my daughter was a high school cheerleader, I was the only dad who made it to every single game, Home and Away the only dad. Some moms would show up for some of the away games. But I was the only dad who made any of them. You think that made a difference to my daughter. You see, I will cherish those memories all the days in my life. The opportunity to be there from my parents.

Nothing was important to me more important than my family. My two biggest excuses, and it's funny now I laugh now. I didn't have the money and I didn't have the time quickly became My two biggest reasons before you do anything else before you watch any other videos or do anything else, right now, I hope that you will stop and take the time to get out a piece of paper or open up the laptop, your computer, or your cell phone, whatever it is, take the time before you do anything else to make a list of at least two or three of your excuses. And if you have 10 excuses, put them all down. Can you then see how those excuses could become the reasons that you find success in network marketing. Your reasons can drive you to become successful, just as they drove me to become successful.

You see, my kids are grown now. But the memories of the great vacations we had, and more time together as a family than anybody I've ever known, will live with all of us forever. And that's cool. And it never would have happened without network marketing. Again, write down your excuses. I don't care how many you have.

And then ask yourself isn't that really my reason? You know there are a lot of people have been working for 10 2030 years and they're flat broke, they have no money, they are not living the life they want to live. You cannot convince them that network marketing is right for them. But you can share the opportunity with them. You can plant a seed so they can do whatever they want to do with that information. Turn your excuses into your reasons why you will become not should become why you will become successful in your network marketing business.
