In this lesson we will be assembling the exterior of our bag. The tools you're going to need are your front and back exterior pieces, your strap tabs with the D rings, pins or clips, and your fabric scissors. So let's get started. Alright, so now that we've completed the front pocket and if you add the heart where you added your hardware, or you just did your top stitching, now you want to take your other main piece and you want to place them with the right side spacing. You want to pin or quit. right you're going to clip the sides and the bottom not The corners right you want to take this to the sewing machine and you're going to sell half an inch both sides and half an inch across the bottom.
Alright, so let's sell the size and the bottom of our two main bag pieces. Alright, so before we turn this to the right side, you remember you have these corners here. All right. So what you want to do, you want to grab your corners like so. Open up the same allowance and you want a panel Clip, make sure your seam allowance and you're seeing are lined up. All right, you also want to make sure that the pocket that's on the front, you want to make sure that thicker part is going towards the front and you know as the front because you have your lines here for your pocket.
And also if you add hardware, you see your hardware. So you want to make sure that thicker part of it is going towards the front. I'm just going to take a clip, clip this in place and you're going to so about a half an inch across and backstitch a couple of times because this is kind of thick, and this is going to be the bottom of your bag. So you want to make sure it's very strong. Once you have both sides song, you turn your back to the right side. This is what it should look like.
Alright, we have one more thing to do before we finish this part of it. Your strap tabs where you added the D rings go ahead and we're going to sew them onto your side seams. So open up your side saying take your D ring with your strap, tap and play In the center, you can clip it in place. You're just going to solo just enough about an eighth of an inch just to hold this in place. So you just securing this in place until we assemble the entire bag and do the other side the same way
