How to find keywords to use for your title and book description. before we delve into how to find keywords that we can use for your book, title and description, let's make things clear first. If you're really starting out with ebooks and digital publishing, This lecture will be very helpful for you. If you already know these concepts, it can help clarify things that you know, and hopefully pick up new ideas that can help you with the goal of ebook publishing. So, what are keywords? Why do we need to spend time to look for them?

Why are they important? keywords are simply words that people in your niche are xandra use to search Google, Amazon or any other search engine about a particular topic that they want to find answers. They use it by typing the words in the search bar. Keywords can also be the words that are repeatedly used in various content places in the internet about specific topics. They are the typical questions people ask. Typical comment, readers type in form sites, comment back section of blogs, and wherever they can be found online.

If you're going to write an E book about your favorite subject matter, you would want to find out the exact words or phrases that your target market is using when they are searching for something related about your topic, you would want to use these words in your title and book description, not only so you could relate to them and speak their language, although those are really important, but also that your ebook may be found in the search engines. When someone types those very words about your topic. That's what we want. That's what really our goal is about, for our ebook masterpiece to be found, get noticed, be picked up by our audience. That's why we need to find out, spend some time to explore what these keywords are. By doing keyword research, we can also evaluate whether the keywords that we're using are worth our efforts in terms of profitability and competition.

It will give us information on whether there are authors who are already profiting by using those keywords. And also, whether the words and phrases we're using are already dominated or not by the big names in the industry. It's definitely very useful and wise to spend some time doing this. Let's go ahead. You may have heard many others talking about these very topics, keywords and competition. While they are important in ranking in Amazon, Kindle and Google, what's even more important at this point is for you to develop momentum to finish your ebook Have it published and do a little bit of marketing to let everyone know of the release of your masterpiece, and do all this in the shortest possible time.

You can even do it in seven days. Yes, that's possible. So, having said that, you need to spend a little time to learn in detail about the keywords that you can use for your ebook, title, and ebook description. This will help your ebook to be found in the search engines. There are many places to find them online where people talk, we can get ideas from there, but in this course, we're going to identify the keywords using two free tools. Just a note, there are also software's available to automate finding keywords But we're going to learn how it's done from the ground up.

These two free tools are the Amazon search, and the Google Keyword Planner. Remember, spend only a short time doing this, get the keywords necessary for you to come up with your title and a list of similar words that you can use for the E book description. And then move on to the next steps. Remind yourself not to get stuck, and keep on making progress until you're done. The reason I keep on reminding you about this is it's too easy to remain in this stage and do it like forever and then you lose your drive to move forward and finish. Don't be that person.

Spend only a short time for your keyword search. Let's move on how to get keywords, there are four things that we're going to do. First, we're going to take down notes from our own ideas about our topic. Second, we're going to look at the titles of the best sellers on our topic. Third, we're going to screen the results based on a preferred ranking. I'll explain why later.

And fourth and last, referencing under results, we will see what keywords we can use. Let's do just that. Let's take an example for the next keyword research steps that we're going to do. Take thinking from our last lecture. Let's say that I want Write an E book about time management. Something about being focused and less stressed when dealing with personal or business projects, something that will help me save time and make time.

Something that will help me get disciplined to use time every day so that I can finish everything that I need to do. I hope you got the scenario of where the topic is coming from. And so I would be working towards keywords like I'm listing this based on what comes to mind productivity hacks and Another one would be focus and how to do more. And the next one is finding your purpose. And the very obvious topic of course is time management. Then, I would look for those keywords in Amazon Kindle search bar, click search and Check the results.

When I searched on the topic, productivity here in Amazon, here are the results that I found. Now let's take a closer look on the books that are on the top of the search. As we look into these titles, let's also consider about the title that we want to come up for your ebook. To be able to come up with a great title, you need to determine exactly what's the purpose of your ebook, or what's the main benefit of having the information you offer in your ebook. So it's also a great process. If you get a piece of paper or look bad, and have this benefits written out, for example, from these top results like this one, the productivity project, accomplishing more by managing your time, attention and energy.

From this book alone that we're looking at. We can tell from the title that the main benefit of this book is learning tips on how to manage your time and how to focus your attention and energy. Just like what we did for the E book that we took as an example. Let's also list the benefits of your ebook. We are taking A sample topic on the E book that we want to write. And the topic is time management.

And so we have looked into the top books in Amazon about this topic. And now it's our turn to write the main benefits of this ebook that we want to write.
