Hey there! I'm Amy, a Pediatric Dietitian and a mommy of a growing toddler.

As a first-time mom of a growing toddler, I have experienced first-hand the conflicting and overwhelming information (and opinions!) on introducing solids and feeding our little ones.

When I had my baby 4 years ago, I started getting a lot of outdated and incorrect information on breastfeeding, starting solids and feeding my child. Everyone seems to have their own opinion and advice on how I should be feeding my child, but none of them are evidence-based! I quickly realized those other families out there are being fed the same crappy information- often leaving them feeling confused and stuck wondering if “they are doing the right thing”! All parents want to be able to provide the best for their little ones - nutrition should not be this confusing and challenging to navigate! Especially where nutrition matters the MOST in the early years.

I started hosting nutrition workshops with the goal of providing a safe, comfortable place for parents to get up-to-date, evidence-based information so they can feel confident and empowered in making their own choices and decisions when it comes to feeding their children.

I provide virtual nutrition counseling and support in the areas of pediatric nutrition, food allergy management, and eating disorders. You can view my complete list of services and book an appointment online at www.chowdownnutrition.com.  To find services, products and events by dietitians in BC, please visit bcdietitians.ca
