Quickly...Yes, medium hairstyles with a little attention to detail command just as much praise as longer styles. Learn how inside!
Here is a sneak peek video of all the styles you will learn in this course.
A delicate touch is needed to create this soft textured design every bridesmaid will love. Learn how inside the course!
This looks like it might be an easy design but within the steps of using the hot rollers and just your fingers gives it the soft and romantic look it should have for a special occasion. Enjoy!
This modern retro look requires some simple steps but attention to detail. Whether for a fun costume party or a theme wedding this is a classic! Have fun!
This classic bob hairstyle deserves a great tutorial. Simply looks just like minimal decor is all about attention to details.
You will see how the sections give this design a perfect balance, great placement and solid construction.
Enjoy this clear demonstration of how to curl your hair three ways with one tool. If you want curls in the bottom of your half up style this video is a perfect resource for you. If you are doing curls for body and an updo prep, be sure to clip each curl after you make it. Once they are cooled, let them down and begin your hairstyle!
This is a close look at basic french braiding which will help with this braided style in this course.
Hot rollers are a great tool to have for your updo and a half up styles. I see many people rely on using just a curling iron, but mastering hot rollers saves time. Setting a client in hot rollers gives her a break to rest emotionally for her upcoming special occasion and allows you to start on another updo increasing your per-hour intake. This is also a great time to send her to the make-up artist. If a client sits a long time in one spot, they can get antsy and stressed. We want to prevent that for her special day!
Since these short hairstyles use Velcro rollers, hot rollers and a curling iron I wanted to explain over directing, on base and drag when using rollers. It is these details that will make your special occasion work stand out and earn you top dollar. During my career I enjoyed doing hair for school plays, Disney princesses for our local "Make a Wish" foundation, photo-shoots, fashions shows and many bridal fairs. When you become confident and proficient with your core skills you become unstoppable!
This is a basic close look at a reverse braid or some call it a dutch braid. Practice and enjoy!
This is an excellent example of how to get good solid teasing where it matters. When you follow steps and you know where the updo is headed, stress is minimized. If the client freaks out seeing you tease you now have the confidence to continue teasing, explain the process and assure her a beautiful style is unfolding. Remember, it is more likely the anticipation of a special occasion that is adding to her stress intolerance, not you or your work. Always smile and be reassuring.

Let's master some mid Length hairstyles for you, your friends and clients. There are subtle important steps that make these look clean and professional. Teasing in just the right spot! Soft braiding that makes them hug the side of the face. A way to work with hot rollers you can try again and again! Don't let these seemingly simple looks fool you. Dig in and enjoy all that you will learn!!

Wait, there's more! I have added many extra tutorials that will give you an inside look at important skills for anyone who loves hairstyles. These are not fast running videos but clear step by step real time teaching to easily follow along!

Requirements

Watch the videos all the way through to see what you may specifically need for each course. In general, this is a basic list:  A blow dryer, a small teasing brush/comb, a rat tail comb for making clean parts, a curling iron. Velcro rollers & round brushes (typically for short and mid length hair courses). Hot rollers, bobby pins & hair pins to match your hair color, large hair ties, small clear elastics, silver clips, and hairspray. Maybe a gel or hair wax or cream for controlling flyaway hair.

Someone or yourself with the appropriate hair length and texture as the models in this course, so you can follow along and practice your new skills!

Time and patience, gentleness toward yourself and a never give up attitude! Boldness to ask models to practice on and bravery to try out new looks on your clients! They will love you for your innovational skills!
