Welcome to the next segment, our course, mindfulness for everyday living. And in this segment I want to share with you a meditation that I call the Golden Ball meditation. So make yourself comfortable. Close your eyes. Sitting, lying down, standing. It's your choice.

Take a deep breath. Feel the weight of the eyelids. Feel your body being held on the ground breathing take care few nice fall breaths. I'd like you to imagine there is a shiny gold and maybe about Dan there have a quarter, this little circle and imagine it right in the middle of your forehead. Sometimes called the third eye, but there's this golden ball right in the middle between the eyebrows. And that it can actually just begin to sink down.

Almost like there's that little opening. can go in here head and see Down. This golden ball has some weight but some density and it's hanging on a very, very fine filament so that it can gently slide down and down. Your attention can slide down, you can drop down and down and down until you find a place for this cold involves rest deep inside someplace deep down, maybe down in the center of the lower Valley. And it can just rest maybe floating, maybe just resting. And as you notice this golden ball Everything can start to relax.

Just feeling the weight, maybe the body can start to soften. If there are any places inside where you may have been holding tension in start, let them just relax, soften, release. Let go. Keeping your attention, your gentle attention resting on this golden ball. Now if any thoughts arise, you can just invite them to sink down and down. It's almost like they can travel down that very, very fine filament down and down, dissipating and disappearing.

So that you can rest. You can feel centered and peaceful as you tend to this golden ball down inside every breath brings you back. You're honing your focus, bringing awareness to this golden light within you. This golden light shines within you, glistening, bouncing off of this golden ball. Just taking your time and noticing what it feels like in your body. The effect it has On your mind and how useful effective it is to have an internal focus, cultivating internal focus, growing your capacity to really rest in yourself.

Rest mindfully and easily in yourself in your body, in your bra. So just breathing, letting go and tending to yourself, tending to yourself for a few more breaths and then as you're ready Going to invite you. Open your eyes slowly. And as you do, letting your attention drop deeper in as you extend your attention out, to see what you're seeing, to feel what you're feeling. So your attention is going in and coming out at the same time. Making relating and being in the world, so much more sustainable, that you're nourished because you're continuously tending to this deep place inside.

As you relate as you care for others as you give to others as you attend all the tasks that make up your life. On the biggest things to the minutia. You're tending to yourself. So I really invite you to practice this golden ball meditation anytime daily, doing it daily. I know I've given you several practices. So you can leave together a tapestry of these practices that really nourish you that really support you in your life.

And I guarantee you if you do these practices in any combination, for any amount of time, your life will start to change, things will shift, things might become easier, relationships might become more peaceful, more harmonious. So if you want peace and harmony in your life, and you want to live a fulfilling, really efficient and effective life, mindfulness is key mindfulness is key. So it really supporting you and cheering you on, to do the practices to hear the doorbell and come back the practice of breathing practice of tending to self. And I want to say that tending to yourself as you're relating to others is a fairly advanced skill. So it will take some practice. So if you practice it on your own, then when you're in relationships, when you're in dialogue, when you're at work, it will start to come.

And you can just track in, you can land and yourself and then give yourself to the conversation. Give yourself to the dialogue at hand. So practice the golden bomb meditation and enjoy it. Really cultivating your ability to be in yourself and reach out So reach into yourself as you reach out. And that is one of the benefits one of the most wonderful nourishing benefits that you will receive if you practice when you practice the Golden Ball meditation
