How would you like to get to the end of your work day feeling great, instead of exhausted? And since we spend so much of our time on our jobs and careers, approximately one third of our lives, wouldn't it be nice to actually be healthier because of how and where we work, instead of in spite of that. That's what this course is all about. It's called the healthy workstation. And you'll learn the simple steps that will keep you both pain free and maximally productive at work. Hi, i'm john Zambrano, and I'm a board certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy.

I've been a health and fitness consultant for over three decades and I've worked extensively in business and industry, developing ergonomics and wellness programs. As the founder and director of the lifetime body. My passion is helping you to achieve peak performance at any age. At the lifetime body, we pursue peak performance through the manipulation of five fundamental components. These are food movement, sleep, awareness and ergonomics. The foundation of ergonomics is where we will focus in this program.

Ergonomics is a commonly used term that is often not fully understood, ergo meaning work and nomics indicating the study of something. Usually a person's efficiency at work is the generally accepted definition. It's all about the interaction of a job or workstation with the human who is occupying it. And it comes down to two basic considerations. One, making the work better fit the worker and to making that same worker more fit for the specific work that he or she is performing. It's really that simple.

And in this program, you'll become proficient at easy to implement strategies that help you to optimize your posture, set up your ideal workstation, employee productivity enhancing workflow behaviors. You'll also develop movement strategies that include purposeful activity, in addition to an incredibly easy and effective exercise routine to keep you feeling fantastic and functioning at your best. Making work additive not attractive to our health is actually easy and fun. I'm so excited to share this information with you.
