First solo and Freddy kings, butterscotch goes like this. Pretty close. starts out with one of these ascending Freddie King licks, eighth ninth fret on the third string 810 on the second string, and then bending up three fingered band 10th fret of the first string. Pretty simple. Then he's gonna do one of these descending licks, starting on the eighth fret of the second string And then he's gonna go into these long bands like that, that's keeping my finger first finger on the eighth fret of the first string, and I'm bending up on the 11th fret of the second string with my ring finger and my pinky. Then after the third one, he doubles up and a quick single string run along, basically playing over the first position, C, seventh bar court.
So we've got this going from the eighth fret of the first string 11 eight, actually just 11 second string right to the 10th fret of the third string, eighth fret, off 10th fret of the fourth string to the eighth fret Something like that. Then he's gonna go into this really cool lick on the third string mostly bending up on the 10th fret three fingered bet he does something like this when I hear he's gonna go check the tab on that we got this pullout to wrap up the lip but it's one of those double bands reads the band's let's come down and then goes to the eighth fret and then bends up again. So the whole lick right, there's like this. He's gonna climb back up. This one's kind of tricky, and I'm not sure if I have this one exactly right. But he's climbing.
That part's a little different. So Normally, we've been doing something like this, this time, he's gonna go a little extra in there and he's gonna go between the 10th fret of the second string, eighth fret of the second string, and the 10th fret of the third string. So we've got this he's gonna get the 10th fret of the third string band and hesitated a little bit on the eighth fret of the third string, eighth fret of the third string, 10th fret. And then 10 eighth on the fifth string, so the 10th fret of the fourth string, 10th fret of the fifth string, eighth fret, let me play that whole part slowly. Something like that. I really can't hear for sure if he's sliding or picking or what he's doing that Then he wraps it up with another one of these licks between the third and the fourth string, eighth and 10th fret.
Check the TAF for this I'll play it one more time. Something like that one more than he does one of these. And when he does this one of these turnarounds slows it down and walks to the 10th fret of the fifth string, and then slides it down when he's finished. Let's try to play the whole first solo a butterscotch real slow. I always say that I go too fast. I'll try to keep it slow this time.
So we start out There is the first solo for Freddy kings, butterscotch
