In this video, we're going to be learning how to enlarge or images without distorting them to some extent using content, our scaling. And here in that image, let's say we need to extend our image all the way to here, maybe to add our text or pyrography for our design. So now let's unlock our layer and rename it. Background for instance. Then we can be selecting either crop tool or pressing C, or we can be using image size or canvas size. To change our images dimensions, however, I'm going to be using Chrome tool in that example.

Dragging all the way to here. And now we can be filling that area instantly by selecting content. then pressing enter or return an innocent you have that area editor Image even without distorting or branches. However, let's undo that for a second pressing Command Z. And let's regroup our image once again, clicking on our image to get our bounding box once again and dragging all the way to here. How are we going to be selecting content our pressing Return or Enter.

Now we need to have our image selected as this going to edit we have content our scale. Now we need to be pressing Shift to drag it from only one side and we are getting that area extended only within our design, just like that. And as you can see, our branches are not getting distorted. However, if we undo that pressing escape now let's even do a regular transform sees a difference pressing Command T or Ctrl T is in Won't be dragging that one pressing Shift again. And you can see the difference, we have a great distortion within these branches in here. Now, as you can see, you can be extending your images easily in Adobe Photoshop using that content our scale.

So now let's even move to another example. Here we have that image, we have that one in portraits. And let's say we need to convert that one into a landscape, maybe for a design reason, or even to convert that one into a square for Instagram or anything like that. So we're going to be unlocking our layer once again, and we're going to be renaming that one trees. then clicking on our image was our crop selected. And let's drag that one all the way to here.

You can be enabling content aware if you'd like However, I'm going to do that one from edit. So let's press enter. I'm going to edit we have Content our scale pressing shift. Now as you can see, it's extending all these trees within our image. However, in that case, we are losing resolution for our image because we are going beyond that images, resolution probably. So if I press enter, we can be pressing Command one to check our image.

Now we are missing on resolution. So can be undoing that. And let's reselect content our scale again. We're going to be extending that one just a little bit, not to go beyond its limitations. Then if you would like to fill that area can be duplicating your image once again, maybe flipping that one horizontal. Let's see that in action.

So now I'm going to be pressing Enter. Then I'm going to be duplicating that one Using selection tool pressing v on keyboard, then pressing Alt or Option key, duplicating the image all the way to here. Now we have that area, maybe we need to be merging that one a bit pressing Shift was right arrow, we can be using eraser tool. Maybe it was 50% opacity, you can be increasing that one all the way to hundred percent. And using a soft brush, enlarging our brush a bit, clicking in here and pressing shift in here, to have a straight line. Instead of drawing that line in a straight line.

You can be clicking once in here, then click and shift for a straight line instead. And it looks amazing already hover can be also flipping that image. Maybe for some repetition. If you don't feel it's nice. You can be selecting your image, pressing Command T, right click, you can be selecting Flip Horizontal and maybe can be dragging that one all the way to here. Then you can re erase that line once again.

So selecting a search tool, click shift and click. However, it even look better when it was the other side. So let me undo that. Yeah, that looks even better. Now moving to another example in here, we have that image and let's say we are creating our advertisement. And we need to have more space in here for our type.

So can be unlocking our layer once again, renaming that one background or anything, then selecting Crop Tool, increasing our canvas size, all the way to here. Maybe for a billboard design, enter, and instead of using the Content Aware scale to enlarge the entire image can be scanning only the port. So if we go to Edit, Content Aware scale, then pressing Shift, dragging that image. Now it's looking nice However, sometimes maybe you're getting some distortions within your product or maybe your models hand or whatever. So we can be undoing that. And instead we can be selecting selection tool.

Selecting only that part within our image, then going for it content our scale and it can be scaling only support pressing shift. However, now maybe that's too much, you can be getting some grains within your image. You can be fixing these grains in here using clear filters so can be pressing Enter. Maybe you need to have that selection. Once again. If you feel it's too strong, you can be going to filter, you can be selecting any of these players, you can be selecting maybe Surface Blur, and you have that review, you can be increasing your player settings from here.

However, be careful not to make it too strong because already we have some grains in here. Maybe you don't have that in your original image, but this one originally have some grains. So in that case, maybe I'm not going to be using all that. There maybe just a little bit to compensate our transformation or our scaling and I'm going to be placing okay. Moving to our last example, in content, our scale and let's also say that we need to be increasing the width of that image. So we're going to be doing the same routine we're going to be unloading our layer, selecting crop tool or pressing C. Then if we start dragging all the way to here, maybe applying content aware, pressing Enter Now we have a strange pattern in here.

So let me undo that. I'm pressing C, creasing or width all the way maybe to here disabling content aware, pressing Enter. Now scaling our image content, our scale and pressing Shift, dragging our image all the way to here. Now we are getting distortion within our guy, especially in legs as you can see he has he has a thin one and a fat one. So let's undo that and let's see how we can be fixing that racing scape. Now we can be drawing a selection around our body using any kind of selection tools maybe.

And let's save that selection going to select Save Selection And let's see if that one guy or men or whatever, then the selecting the selection, we don't need it anymore. pressing Command D, going to edit, content, our scale. And now before we start scaling, we have that option here to protect people or persons or skin tones within your image, and then dragging our image, pressing Shift and dragging our image all the way to here to a certain point, and after that Photoshop is telling me I can do anything. Now his feet or his legs are getting wider, especially his left one. However, it's even better than what we had without that option. And still fusing that be able option we can be selecting guy also to protect and it's not doing anything, let's say Wouldn't that option now we have the same problem was in his feet.

So using that option was better in our case and the selecting our selection so you can see the difference. So let's maybe drag that one all the way to here. Or if we want to be enlarging our image all the way to here we can be excusing that then we can be selecting that part of our image only that part like we just did in that iPhone image. Now we're not going to be distorting that guy's figure however, we're going to be having some distortion probably in that area. So let's press shift. Then we can be executing that.

Finding our selection pressing Command or Ctrl H. Now we have an amazing result we have extended our image, maybe that area is not looking amazing. We can be using our healing brush tool. If we would like to hide that, or can be placing our logos in that area for both for an advertisement or anything like that, or it can be batching, maybe some part from the strokes all the way to here, or we can be cloning from the port from our image, and so on and so forth. Hope you enjoyed that one guys and I'll be seeing you in next one.
