Hey, what's up guys, welcome back to this section of the tutorial. Now we left off here so determined that this is the next major pose and just click to go to this control got this control this control and miska are going to zero them out because this guy is on smoking and also the new controls are just rolling out and he's wandering out the legendary This is just by holding Shift and clicking downwards. You could get that so because we want to keep everything and so at this pose, he's very low on the ground that his arms have dropped down a little bit as to why he's doing that. Logically. He is the because of the Weight of his body. He has to make sure that he contains all there.

He finds it to contain all day. They force that make sense. I'm not like a physician or anything like that. So remain don't judge me. I'm just trying to find the best way to explain it to you guys. But basically that is what is happening here.

So it's like a spring. He has a lot of energy and physical. That's the concept behind squash and stretch. Really. His question at this post is obviously so he's quashing at this pose, because he has to, like all the energy is compressing towards downwards his body and I think I invited This is supposed to be this way. This one is supposed to be outwards.

So really I know the thing that I like to tell people in the setting out in town they're starting out with animation is Don't be impatient. It's called patience is really something you need to work on. Because a it does, as you can see, it does take quite some tweaking, and sometimes it does things that you don't want it to do is like insane, his food is really not behaving the way I want it to behave. So, really trying not to lose my patience with these foods here. And just because it's really reference, it doesn't mean that you have to exactly do whatever it's for or whatever the video reference is doing. Because in this case, I can see that This pause is really annoying to come up with Oh see what's going on right What is happening?

I can this case I think I like his compression is like this. Just see that because no now because this is an animated is a hand drawn thing. He tends to like the animator Alan Becker if he is in the dark when we did those clips. See he tends to exaggerate his poses, which is another principle of animation exaggeration, because it's gonna see it does sell the motion and offset this and he needs to make sure that the wheat is landing on one side. So It makes sense to take the reach to this other leg because this was the leg that was down initially. So and his work at this stage is really act and his head should be looking to others.

It's like, whoa, whoa, I just made it. That is that makes any sense. Again, it's just a matter of education. It's not really like I'm the best, or the hip East guy. And again, making sure that we don't like doing this is making sure that whatever helps you understand, or whatever helps you in this animating process. That is what works.

So Let no one tell you that. Obviously these guidelines but guidelines, think of them as roadmaps but not exactly. Because at the end of the day, everyone is going to develop the their own style of animating. So for me, I'm teaching you how I like approach my, or how to maybe my method of approaching animation. So so I think I like you, it's like that looks like a community post. That maybe the head needs to be fixed that way.

We can see the slide is good, then new pose is good. So obviously, it looks like shit right now. Sorry for casting. Don't worry, you're just blocking opposes. So, in most cases, you need to go to you need to go to your preferences. Make sure that you are at linear are not linear but linear step.

That way it's going to snap. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, is it linear Really? linear, linear save. Let me see. still playing back smoothly. We did.

Oh, there's also this option for weighted tangents about what I'm going to explain when we get to the graph editor because it's really no good way of explaining it but Think linearly, but what I'm going to do is I'm just going to select everything will go to Window admission editors, graph, editor. And as you can see when they say weighted tangents, these, these are the points that are usually weighted. So in most cases, this is what we did. I don't know if that's the best way like I don't have a concrete way of defining it, but it has something to do with with these controls that you see over here, but for me, what I want is I want to select everything and put it back in so that it can snap instead of Okay, that you can snap instead of playing back smoothly. As soon as you do that.

It's so that you can avoid getting distracted. So as you can see, I was looking at it and seeing that it's not really coming along. So Make sure that you're not really distracted. So the next polls that we are going to focus on is what is one. So he gets up and up close and quickly goes through this poll. So he holds it.

So we're going to get into it. So that's the next major pose and select everything key that I cannot have to say that I cannot forget. And remember his foot, I think his foot has not moved from the same spot. So look at that point. So this is why now the reference sometimes is good. And for some of this stuff, especially like things that are rotating, I usually recommend that you zero out everything.

You're going to the next poll because you are bound to get some weird values, some values that are way beyond what you want. Normally expects so. So zeroing out at least helps you to focus or not focus but to speed up the process but who does rotate even if it's on the same spot is good. I'm sure it's a little bit factory so he's not really that down. Check. This coat is kind of flowery.

I think also, yeah, this one does rotate inwards this way. It's not really working. Like, coming along, so let's try this other control. Yeah, I think this is Yeah, definitely. Let's leave it as is working. Fine.

Yeah. Nice good size. Good. Nice, really good. So study the rig. Sometimes you get overwhelmed and start doing things that are not really supposed to be doing.

And forgetting that phase is easier and better controls for you. Let's be sure it's a it's a learning process. It's not really something that I can say is the definite. You want to do it this way. And that is the correct way. Like it's just something that you discover as you go and our body has twisted this way.

So again, like I said, the direction is just there as a guide it's not like a concrete thing it should supposed to do exactly what the video is doing. Mostly for me I find that video reference helps me in the timing for a really have issues with a timing so is why I find video references helpful for me. So there's really arching forwards for everything going on here. And then what he's looking at there, but it seems to be on the video reference is looking at something that is pointed towards that direction. So this arm is clearly very stretched out This slightly lower number. Okay, the thing that distinguishes us from from robots is robots are very linear.

Oops, the scale many robots have a very linear movements. But for all the organic stuff in nature, mostly we have movements that follow a specific kind of an app. So we are designed to see so I don't know if we He's looking at silence suggests that sometimes you have to really concentrate on getting the right pose. So that's why sometimes you can just hear me go up or go silent on you guys. But he said that I'm just trying to concentrate on making this a better way This way, then maybe, maybe we also have the clavicle so don't really stress that much. In this case, it needs to make sure that my need to make sure that my clavicle is up there.

Yeah, it's quite an interesting hold on We need some more tweaking, but I mean admission is just tweaking forever and ever. Like keep keep on tweaking, it's interesting. Sometimes you just need to step away. And now look at it struggling with pressure. So that's a that's quite a nice post there. That is quite an interesting pose there.

Interesting can this one can move that we can talk like like that. And yeah, it's, it's quite Actually, it's quite good. It's not expected to turn on the script. So yeah, and key everything and you're slowly getting there. So you can see was just disable the knobs cause can see it's almost getting there. And you can see admission is really not that a tough of a process.

So this one has been a long lesson. And yeah so I will see you in the next section of this course.
