How to use

Read the directions on the product label, patient guide, or medicine guide provided by the medicine company or your pharmacist before starting to use Xyzal Allergy 24Hr Tablet. If you have any questions related to this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Consume this medicine as recommended by your doctor.
Xyzal Allergy 24Hr Tablet is consumed with or without food. Take this medicine as a single dose. Xyzal Allergy 24Hr Tablet is consumed usually in the evening. This is because Xyzal Allergy 24Hr may cause dizziness.

Typical Dosage

The typical dose of Xyzal Allergy 24Hr is 5 mg once a day. The usual dose for children is 2.5 mg once a day. Xyzal Allergy 24Hr is commonly used at the same time every day. It takes 1 hour for this medicine to start to work. This medicine is not known to be habit-forming.
This medicine should be used on an as-needed basis. If used for the treatment of allergies, the medicine can be stopped once the symptoms have disappeared and can be restarted again if symptoms reappear. If you experience symptoms for more than four days a week or for more than four weeks a year, your doctor may ask you to continue the treatment. Your treatment may continue as long as you are exposed to substances that cause your allergy.
If using the liquid form of this medicine, measure the dose using the provided measuring cup, spoon, or dropper. Before pouring the medicine into the measuring device, you should check the measurement markings carefully. Then, pour the dose amount into the device. After use, clean and store the measuring device in a safe place for your next use. You should not use a tablespoon or teaspoon as the dose measuring devices since it can result in an incorrect dose. If indicated on the product package, shake the medicine before use.

Talk to your doctor if your condition does not improve. If you have any kidney disease, a low dose of Xyzal Allergy 24Hr will usually be given.

Storage

Use in Pregnancy

The use of Xyzal Allergy 24Hr during pregnancy should only be when required.

Use while Breastfeeding

The use of Xyzal Allergy 24Hr Tablet is not safe for use in women who are breastfeeding. If you are breastfeeding a baby, discuss with your doctor if you should either discontinue breastfeeding or stop using this medicine while breastfeeding. This medicine may pass into breast milk and hence use in mothers who breastfeed is not recommended.

Use while Conceiving

Alcohol

End-Stage Kidney Disease

This medicine should not be used in patients with end-stage kidney disease.

Kidney Diseases

This medicine should not be used in children who have kidney disease.

Family History of Galactose Intolerance

This medicine should not be used by patients who have a family history of galactose intolerance.

Lapp Lactase Deficiency

This medicine should not be used by patients with Lapp lactase deficiency.

Glucose-Galactose Absorption Issues

This medicine is should not be used by patients who have problems with glucose-galactose absorption.

Expired Medication

Taking a single dose of expired Xyzal Allergy 24Hr is unlikely to cause a side-effect. However, please discuss with your doctor or pharmacist, if you feel unwell or sick.
